Shore Dog Walkers began in 2017 when Lisa started walking dogs for neighbors in the local community. What began as a simple way to help busy pet owners quickly grew as she discovered there were far more dogs in need of care than there were hours in a day. To meet that demand, she hired the company’s first part-time walker—and Shore Dog Walkers was born.

Today, Shore Dog Walkers is a trusted, full-service pet care company serving a wide range of clients. While dog walking is our primary focus, we also care for cats and other pets, including rabbits, fish, and lizards. Our clients include dog owners who are at work, away on vacation, enjoying a day at the beach, or simply stuck in traffic and in need of a last-minute let-out.

We are open 365 days a year, with weekday hours from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM and weekend hours from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, because pets don’t take days off—and neither do we.

Our team consists of 10 full-time employees and 20 part-time walkers, many of whom are students from Monmouth University and Brookdale Community College, as well as out-of-state college students' home during holidays and school breaks. Every member of our team shares a commitment to dependable, compassionate care.

In 2025 alone, we completed over 11,300 visits, including almost 10,000 miles of dog walks, let-outs, and care for cats and other pets. We’re proud of the trust our clients place in us and honored to be part of their pets’ daily lives.
